Duke’s Rescue

There was a dog.
His name was Duke.

Actually, there were two. The first Duke was a Newfoundland. The second, D2, was a purebred St. Bernard. Over the years six big dogs have shared this house, and all six of them are the reason we give back to animal rescue.

The short version

Generous, loud,
and impossible to ignore.

Duke had the kind of personality that filled a room before he was all the way into it. Generous, loving, giving. Every big dog that came after had a bit of the same thing.

The house has never stopped making room. Taking in rescues, helping out where we can, dogs and cats both. Duke is not with us anymore, but that part of the story is still going.

Care should cost you something

Anybody can put a dog on a label. The difference is whether money actually moves. Ours does, on every order, and you can see the number in your cart before you pay.

10,000

Animals, eventually

That is the goal: help save ten thousand animals through the organizations doing the actual work.

Where it goes

Animal rescues doing
the hard part.

The money goes to animal rescue and welfare organizations: the ones doing intake, vet care, fostering, spay and neuter, and the long patient work of matching an animal to a home that will keep it. Dogs, cats and everybody else.

We are choosing our partners carefully, and we will name each one here as they come on board rather than hiding them behind a phrase like “selected charities”.

You are the reason any of this works. Got a rescue of your own, or run one we should know about? Tell us about them.
